This solid buoy is designed for long-term use in demanding marine conditions, where reliability and strength are paramount. Its solid construction – a hard polyethylene shell filled with closed-cell foam – ensures the buoy will remain afloat even if damaged or punctured. In other words, even under impact or cracking, the internal foam will prevent the buoy from sinking. With dimensions of 600x285 mm and a bright red color, this buoy is highly visible even on the open sea. The buoy features a reinforced attachment point (metal eye/ring or sturdy through-hole) of 16 mm diameter, allowing secure connection of mooring chains, ropes, or other hardware. The material (impact-resistant polyethylene) and foam filling make it resilient to collisions with boats, pounding waves, and continuous sun exposure.
- Anchoring & Mooring: This buoy is an excellent choice for marking mooring or anchor points for medium to larger boats. Its high buoyancy (supporting over 10–15 kg of weight) enables it to carry heavy anchor chains and metal fittings, keeping them afloat for easy spotting and retrieval.
- Navigation Marker: Thanks to its bi-conical shape and stability, the buoy can be used as a permanent navigation aid – for example, marking channels, shoals, or areas closed to navigation. Its robustness means it can withstand impacts from floating debris or glancing collisions from small vessels without losing functionality.
- Industrial Applications: Solid buoys of this type are often used in fish farms, offshore platforms, and harbors as floating supports or bumpers. They are favored because they cannot deflate (no inflation needed) and are highly resistant to harsh conditions.
- Low Maintenance: With no valves or complex parts, this buoy requires minimal maintenance. Its materials are impervious to corrosion and UV rays, so the buoy retains its color and structural integrity for years. If it becomes dirty, it can be easily cleaned with water without risk of damage.
