Metal Quick Connector for Ø12 mm Hose with 3/8" Female Thread
This connector is the female part of a quick-coupling system for 12 mm hoses. Equipped with a 3/8" internal thread, it can be directly screwed onto various components – for example, the outlet of a compressor, a valve, or a pipe fitting. Once installed, the connector remains in place, ready to receive the male quick plug. Connecting the two is instantaneous: simply insert the corresponding male connector (matching Ø12 mm size, 3/8" external thread) into this female socket – the automatic locking mechanism will secure the link with a clear “click.”
Advantages and applications:
- Hassle-Free Service: The female connector stays permanently attached to your system. For instance, mount it on your onboard compressed air line; this way, you can quickly hook up different hoses or tools with male connectors – whether you need to inflate a life jacket, blow debris with an air gun, or connect a pneumatic tool.
- Hydraulic and Fuel Systems: In hydraulics, female quick couplers are often fixed on tanks or manifolds where a hose must be rapidly connected/disconnected for testing or filter changes. The 3/8" thread is also common in fuel systems (e.g., diesel heaters or external fuel filters) – this connector can create a quick service link for maintenance or winter draining, provided the material is compatible with the fuel.
- Boat Water Supply: Attached to the inlet of a pump or faucet, this connector allows instant removal of a shower hose or washdown hose. It simplifies cleaning, swapping nozzles, or stowing the hose when the boat is not in use.
Compatibility: The connector is compatible with all Ø12 mm male quick connectors of the same series. For a complete set, pair it with a 12 mm male connector, 3/8" M thread (code 04890). This will form a finished quick-release coupling. It is advisable to periodically clean and lightly lubricate the locking mechanism (with an appropriate spray) to ensure years of trouble-free operation, especially in salty environments.
