AISI 316 stainless steel eye bolts are designed to create permanent and secure attachment points on your boat or equipment. With full 316 marine stainless construction, these eye bolts can withstand years of use in wet, salty conditions without corroding. Each eye features a collared design (forged shoulder) that increases strength and stability when under tension, including when the pull is at an angle. The bolts are supplied with a matching nut and wide washer, so you have everything needed for installation right out of the box – simply drill a hole and tighten it down.
Thanks to the range of available sizes, you can choose the right eye bolt to suit the specific application. All variants offer high load-bearing capability and are suitable for a variety of tasks – from attaching rigging blocks and lifting engines, to providing tie-down points on decks or trailers. Below are the key specifications and recommended uses for each size:
- M6 x 60 mm – The smallest size, intended for lighter loads. Ideal for small boats, inflatables, or securing lightweight equipment. Commonly used for attaching ropes for tarps, bimini tops, or as handles. (Recommended for vessels up to ~4 m or equivalent loads.)
- M8 x 80 mm – A medium-sized eye bolt for general-purpose use. Suitable for deck and hull installations on boats around 5–6 m, where you need to fasten mooring lines, safety equipment, or moderately heavy gear.
- M10 x 80 mm – A large eye bolt with high strength. Used in higher-load situations – for example, as a lifting point for engines or generators, anchoring heavy hardware, or mounting substantial equipment to the structure. (Recommended for boats ~7–8 m or for handling significant weight.)
- M12 x 90 mm – The largest and strongest eye bolt in the range. Ideal for extreme loads and industrial applications. Often installed on big yachts and workboats as lifting eyes, for securing heavy containers, or as part of crane and hoist setups. (Recommended for vessels over 8–10 m, heavy machinery, and situations requiring maximum strength.)
