Specialized plastic buckle for lifejacket belts, available in two sizes – 30 mm (child vests) and 40 mm (adult vests). It is designed for quick fastening and release when needed, while remaining securely locked under load. The material withstands saltwater, UV exposure, and impacts, meeting marine safety standards.

This plastic buckle is specifically designed for lifejacket straps and similar safety gear where reliability is paramount. It is made from high-strength POM plastic that has been tested in harsh conditions – it withstands the corrosive effects of saltwater, prolonged UV sun exposure, and impacts or drops. The buckle’s design is engineered to comply with international safety standards for lifejackets (e.g. ISO 12402), ensuring that the product meets strict criteria for strength and dependability.
The buckle features a quick-release mechanism that allows the lifejacket to be unfastened in an instant during an emergency or whenever rapid removal is necessary. Despite this functionality, when properly closed the latch is extremely secure and will not accidentally open under tension or body movement. We offer two width options – 30 mm, suitable for child lifejackets or vests with narrower belts, and 40 mm, suitable for standard adult life vests. This makes it easy to replace a broken buckle or create a new belt for both small and large lifejackets.
- 30 mm Size: Intended for children’s lifejackets or vests with a narrow belt. Its compact size doesn’t impede the child’s comfort while still providing a firm closure that won’t open during active movement or in the water.
- 40 mm Size: Standard buckle size for adult lifejackets (including 100N/150N buoyancy vests and SOLAS-certified models). The larger width ensures an even, stable tension around the body and withstands the high loads that can occur when falling into water or hauling a person to safety.
