This plastic end cap is designed to seal the open ends of boat railings and tubing, providing a safer and more polished finish. The cap is made of high-quality black plastic that is UV-resistant and will not crack or harden over time. By inserting these caps into open tube ends, you prevent water from collecting inside (which could cause internal corrosion of metal rails) and at the same time protect crew and passengers from injury on sharp edges.
Installation is extremely easy – simply push the cap firmly into the open tube, and the flexible ridges will hold it securely in place. No tools or adhesives are needed. We offer two standard diameters: 22 mm (fits narrower rails commonly found on smaller boats and sailboats) and 25 mm (the standard for larger yacht and powerboat railings and stanchions). These options cover the most popular tube sizes. Using plastic end caps not only protects the structure but also gives your boat a finished, professional appearance.
- 22 mm (7/8"): Suited for narrow tubing – often used on folding ladders, small boat grab handles, or sailboat lifelines.
- 25 mm (1"): Standard size for most railings on powerboats and yachts – used on bow/stern pulpits, handrails, and stanchions.
- Corrosion protection: Keeps the inside of the tube dry, preventing internal rusting of metal rails.
- Safety: Eliminates sharp open tube ends where clothing could snag or hands could get cut, making the deck safer for everyone.
