This standard aluminum paddle (35 mm) is a basic model favored for its reliability and budget-friendly price. With no additional detachable parts or complex features, it’s a one-piece paddle that’s ready to use whenever you need it. Simply grab the paddle and start rowing – it’s that straightforward.
The aluminum construction provides an excellent balance of light weight and strength. The 35 mm diameter shaft is thick enough to offer rigidity (the paddle won’t easily flex under pressure in the water), yet thin enough to keep the paddle lightweight and manageable for users of various strengths. The material won’t rust, so it can be used in both fresh and saltwater without special maintenance.
The paddle comes in three lengths:
- 140 cm (code 00721-G): The shortest version, intended for very small boats – for example, “toy” or kid’s inflatables, or auxiliary rafts. It’s also suitable for use as a canoe paddle when kneeling.
- 160 cm (code 00714-G): A medium length, suitable for most small rowboats (2–2.5 m long) or as a spare paddle for a motorboat. It provides decent propulsion while remaining compact for transport.
- 180 cm (code 00706-G): The longest standard option – good for boats around ~3 m or moderately wide boats. It offers greater stroke reach and is preferred for two-person fishing boats, small sailing dinghies, or larger inflatables.
All versions share the same construction: an aluminum shaft with a fixed plastic blade and a plastic handle. The blade has a classic oar shape, entering and exiting the water smoothly with minimal drag. The T-grip handle provides a steady rest for your palm and better control over the blade angle.
These paddles are easy to maintain – after use, just rinse with water and let dry. If storing for a long period, keep them in a dry place. The standard aluminum paddle is a universal solution for many situations – from recreational lake boating and casual fishing to a backup paddle in case of an emergency. Its strength and simplicity make it a top choice for both novice boaters and experienced captains who want a dependable tool on board.
