Plastic Snap Cap 15mm – Canvas Fastener Button (White/Grey/Blue)

This 15mm snap cap is the female outer part (cap) of a standard marine snap fastener that attaches to canvas or vinyl. Instead of metal, the cap is made from a strong engineering plastic, which offers several benefits: it won’t corrode, it doesn’t get as hot under the sun as metal, and it allows for color matching. We offer this item in three colors – white, light grey, and navy blue – so you can choose the shade that best matches your cover or upholstery. The pigments are UV-stabilized, meaning the caps won’t significantly fade or yellow even after prolonged sun exposure.

Installation: The plastic snap cap installs just like a standard metal one – by pressing it onto the fabric together with the appropriate clinching piece (the socket part of the snap). You would use snap setting pliers or a suitable rivet/press tool for installation. The cap’s head is standard Ø15 mm, which means it will fit all corresponding male snap parts (such as the screw studs from the previous product or other 15mm studs and posts). Once properly crimped in place, the plastic cap grips the canvas firmly and is ready for repeated snap-on/off use.
