This built-in deck filler compartment is a small plastic recess installed in the deck to house the fuel filler neck and cap inside. It protects the deck from fuel contamination – if gasoline or diesel spills during refueling, it stays contained in the compartment and is drained through an integrated outlet. The compartment is made of a special fuel-resistant nylon that will not degrade or lose strength upon contact with hydrocarbons.
The unit features a lid that closes flush with the deck surface. The lid is clearly engraved with FUEL, indicating that a fuel fill point is beneath it. Two lid versions are available: a standard non-locking lid that opens simply by lifting, and a version with an integrated lock, which allows you to secure it and prevent unauthorized access to the fuel tank.
The compartment’s dimensions are designed to fit most common deck fillers – the rectangular outer flange is approximately 190 x 148 mm, suitable for fillers with flange diameters around 148–150 mm and cap diameters up to ~71 mm. At the bottom of the pocket, there is a hose barb (typically for Ø19 mm hose) so that a drain hose can be attached to lead any collected liquid safely overboard.

  • Function: Ideal for motorboats, yachts, and RIBs where the fuel fill is on a horizontal deck – it keeps the area around the fill clean and prevents slippery fuel spills on deck.
  • Security: The locking version is recommended if the boat is left unattended or in public marinas – it prevents unauthorized opening or fuel theft. The standard version provides quick, keyless access when needed.
  • Installation: Requires cutting a rectangular hole in the deck to the size of the outer flange. It is secured with screws around the flange perimeter (screws not included). It’s advised to use a marine sealant under the flange for a watertight seal.
  • Maintenance: Clean the inside of the compartment during routine boat maintenance, especially if any spills occurred. Ensure the drain channel and hose remain clear of debris so that any fuel or water can be effectively drained away.
