This single pulley block is built for marine toughness and longevity. Fabricated entirely from stainless steel, it features a single robust sheave (wheel) housed in a polished steel frame. Unlike blocks with plastic parts, the all-metal construction delivers maximum resistance to UV rays, saltwater, and wear, making it suitable for long-term use in demanding conditions. The precision-machined sheave rotates smoothly to minimize friction on your lines – crucial for sail control or lifting tasks. The block has a top eye/strap with a pre-drilled hole, allowing easy attachment via a shackle, carabiner, or by lashing it to the desired point on your boat. Thanks to its sturdy build, this block can handle heavy strain without deforming or jamming.

Available in four different sizes, this block series covers a wide range of rope diameters and load requirements:

  • The smallest size (code 01479-15) is very compact, for ~6mm rope, and is best suited for light-duty applications such as dinghy use, flag halyards, or small tackles (approximately 350kg breaking strength).
  • The next size (01479-25) also fits ~6mm rope but has a larger sheave and sturdier build (up to ~1500kg capacity), making it great for small yacht control lines or light lifting tasks.
  • The medium size (01479-32) is made for 8–10mm ropes, with a robust frame supporting up to ~1800kg – ideal for halyards, sheets, and deck blocks on mid-sized sailing yachts.
  • The largest variant (01479-50) handles 10–12mm ropes and takes roughly up to 3500kg load, which is suitable for big yachts, heavy tackle systems, or even industrial marine uses.

All versions are crafted with the same attention to quality – polished sheaves and smooth surfaces are gentle on ropes and ensure frictionless movement. When properly sized and installed (for example, using an appropriate shackle or bolt), these blocks greatly enhance the reliability of on-board line systems. Whether you are replacing an old pulley or setting up new rigging, the stainless single blocks will contribute to more efficient and secure operation of your equipment.

  • Smallest Block: Use on very small boats and light tasks – e.g., dinghies, flag halyards or other applications with ~6mm rope and modest loads (~350kg).
  • Medium Blocks: Suitable for sailing rigging on boats ~5–10m – they handle 6–10mm ropes and ~1500–1800kg loads (for halyards, sheets, spinnaker control lines, etc.).
  • Largest Block: Designed for large yachts or heavy lifting operations – fits 10–12mm rope, supports up to ~3500kg. Use for main halyards, boom vangs, or lifting heavy equipment.
  • Maintenance: After use, rinse the block with fresh water to wash out salt. Periodically inspect the axle and pins – apply a light lubricant if needed to ensure the sheave turns freely and no corrosion builds up.
