Heat Shrink Tube 2:1 (10×1m Set) – Marine Electrical Insulation

Code:
03570-04

This heat shrink tubing provides reliable insulation for electrical connections in wet and marine environments. Made of high-quality polyolefin, it shrinks to half its diameter when heated, tightly encapsulating the cable and protecting it from moisture and corrosion. Ideal for repairing and protecting cable splices on boats and vehicles.

  • 2:1 shrink ratio with operating temperature range –55°C to +125°C
  • Durable polyolefin – flexible, age-resistant and flame-retardant material
  • Set of 10 pcs × 1 m – plenty of tubing for multiple connections
  • Use cases: insulating wires, terminals, solder joints and protecting against saltwater

A professional marine-grade heat shrink tubing designed for use in boat wiring and automotive electronics. Upon heating, the tube shrinks uniformly to tightly seal around the cable, forming a tough barrier against moisture, salt mist, and vibrations. The material is flexible and durable, making it suitable for engine compartments and outdoor installations. It improves the safety of electrical connections by preventing short circuits and corrosion of conductors. Tip: Choose a shrink tube about twice the diameter of your cable for optimal sealing after shrink.

Applications and recommended sizes:

  • 4 mm → 2 mm: For very thin wires and delicate solder joints (e.g. sensors, LED lights) – ideal for fine electronic connections on small boats and devices
  • 6 mm → 3 mm: For medium-gauge wires – suitable for insulating cables in consoles, instruments, and navigation equipment
  • 8 mm → 4 mm: For standard electrical connections – used in lighting circuits, pumps, and audio systems on boats up to ~5 m
  • 10 mm → 5 mm: For thicker cables (main power feeds, starter cables) – great for connections in engine bays of 5–6 m boats
  • 14 mm → 7 mm: For cable bundles or very heavy conductors – adds extra protection for grouped cables (e.g. in helm stations)
  • 16 mm → 8 mm: For insulating battery terminals and main battery leads – recommended for 6–8 m boats where cables are larger gauge
  • 20+ mm → 10 mm: Largest size for ultra-thick cables or cable looms – used on large boats and yachts to seal deck cable passes and prevent chafing

Usage: Simply slide the tubing over the connection and apply even heat (using a heat gun or a flame at a safe distance). The tube will shrink tightly to provide a long-lasting, waterproof insulation for the electrical joint. This makes it extremely useful for repairs and installations of electrical equipment on boats, yachts, personal watercraft, cars, and other vehicles exposed to moisture.
