This green starboard navigation light (right-hand side) with a classic white “Classic 12” style housing is designed to enhance your boat’s visibility and safety at night. As an integral part of your navigation light set, it marks the starboard side with green color, which—combined with a red port light and a white stern light—allows other vessels to determine your orientation and heading. The light is tested and certified to international standards (COLREG72) for boats up to 12 m, ensuring your vessel meets the required brightness and arc specifications. Its compact build and universal design make it easy to install on any style of boat – from fishing skiffs to sailing yachts.

  • Use cases: Used whenever operating at night or in restricted visibility, it signals to other mariners the location of your boat’s starboard side. This prevents dangerous situations during head-on passes or crossing courses. The green light works in unison with your other navigation lights (red to port, white masthead/stern) to provide full 360° visibility of your vessel in darkness.
  • Vessel type/length: Suitable for all power and sail boats under 12 m (39 ft) in length – from small motorboats and fishing vessels to mid-sized yachts. Its light intensity and range are engineered for this class of vessel, providing a visibility of at least 1 nautical mile (in typical conditions), in line with regulations for boats under 12 m.
  • Installation & maintenance: Installation is straightforward – choose a vertical surface on the starboard side (on the cabin superstructure or a mounting post near the bow), feed the two-conductor cable through the housing and connect it to your electrical system (usually to the navigation lights circuit, protected by an appropriate fuse). Use the included gasket between the light and the mounting surface to prevent water ingress. Fasten the two stainless screws to secure it firmly. Maintenance: Check the bulb before voyages – replace it if it’s burnt out. Keep the contacts clean and dry; gently remove any corrosion if it appears. Periodically rinse the housing with fresh water to remove salt and keep the white plastic looking new. If a bulb replacement is needed, remove the lens cover, swap in an identical bulb (or LED equivalent), and ensure the gasket is properly seated when reassembling to maintain a watertight seal.
