“Selecta” Dual Battery Switch – OFF/1/2/BOTH (175A)

The “Selecta” battery switch is a robust marine-grade selector that enables flexible control of two batteries. It offers four settings – OFF, Battery 1, Battery 2, or BOTH batteries in parallel – allowing you to isolate one battery, use them individually, or combine them for maximum power. Built to handle 175A continuously and about 300A at engine start (intermittent peak), this switch is suitable for the main power management on boats or RVs with dual battery banks. The switch’s body is made of heavy-duty bakelite/thermoplastic which is heat-resistant and impact-resistant. It comes with a large easy-grip rotary knob that includes a safety lock clip to prevent accidental switching of positions. The knob can be removed for maintenance or added security (some models allow knob removal in the OFF position). Four mounting holes on the flange allow secure installation on a bulkhead or panel. Brass 10mm terminal studs ensure low resistance connections and are arranged to accept heavy gauge battery cables. This Selecta switch is CE type-tested per directive 94/25/CE, meaning it meets strict marine safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements. It’s ignition protected and safe to use in engine compartments (does not ignite fumes). When mounting, it has a footprint of about 135 x 135 mm and a depth of ~75 mm. Use this switch to simplify battery management – e.g., run the engine on Battery 1 while Battery 2 powers accessories, then switch to “BOTH” to charge both batteries together, or turn to OFF when moored to disconnect power draw.
