The Raymarine Cyclone 3ft (55W) is a next-generation solid-state open array radar designed for mid-sized boats and yachts. With a 3-foot antenna and 55W power (equivalent to ~6 kW magnetron), it delivers a reliable range up to 72 nm, combined with advanced imaging technologies for exceptional clarity:

• 3-Foot Antenna: A compact (~0.9 m) open array producing a horizontal beam of ~2.8°. This ensures very good target separation for a radar of this size – moving objects and shoreline features are displayed distinctly. The 3ft model is ideal for boats where mast or arch space is limited but you want the performance edge of an open array over a radome.
• 55W CHIRP Radar: With its solid-state transmitter, the Cyclone 55W achieves ranges up to ~72 nm (equivalent to a 6 kW traditional radar). CHIRP pulse compression and Raymarine’s beam sharpening technology provide a crisp picture at both near and far ranges – vessels, navigation marks, and weather cells can be seen simultaneously thanks to RangeFusion™.
• Doppler & ARPA: Like the Pro series, the standard Cyclone features Doppler color highlighting of moving targets and automatic ARPA tracking for up to 100 targets. Safety in navigation is greatly enhanced – you can easily tell a fast incoming boat from a receding ship at a glance on the display.

The Raymarine Cyclone 4ft (55W) is the mid-size option in the series, combining a wider 4-foot antenna with 55W power. It offers increased horizontal resolution (~1.9° beam) over the 3ft model, while maintaining the same up to 72 nm range and cutting-edge features:

• 4-Foot Antenna: Approximately 1.3 m length, providing ~1.9° horizontal beam (narrower than 3ft, wider than 6ft) – delivers excellent target discrimination, including clearly separating small vessels against shoreline or clusters of objects at distance. Suitable for boats that can accommodate a larger antenna and want improved image separation.
• 55W CHIRP Technology: The same solid-state radar with 72 nm max range and 6 kW equivalent power, using CHIRP pulse compression for crisp close and long-range returns. RangeFusion™, Bird Mode, and beam sharpening ensure the 4ft Cyclone simultaneously captures detail at 1 nm and beyond 50 nm.
• Doppler & ARPA Features: The Cyclone 4ft marks moving targets with Doppler color highlighting and can auto-track up to 100 objects (ARPA), just like other models in the series. The 4ft span contributes to even more stable tracking in waves, as the wider array is inherently more steady in pitch and roll.

The Raymarine Quantum Q24W is a compact 18″ radome from the next generation of marine radar, bringing CHIRP pulse compression to a small, lightweight package. With fully wireless Wi-Fi connectivity to your display and minimal installation (only a 10m power cable required), Quantum provides excellent radar imaging at extremely short ranges (down to 6m) and out to 24 nm, all with low power consumption – ideal for sailing yachts and small boats.
