Suzuki DF25–DF140 Fuel Filter (Newer Models) – OEM 15410-87J30
This Suzuki fuel filter (15410-87J30) is the successor to the 87J10 filter, designed to support the later generation of Suzuki 4-stroke outboards (DF25–DF140) from around 2006 onward. It’s built with increased filtering capacity to accommodate fuel system changes in newer models and even features a built-in drain for water, making it easier to service. If your engine is a DFA series (for example DF90A/115A/140A introduced around 2010–2012) or any mid-2000s DF model, this is the correct filter to use.
Replacing the filter will help maintain the optimal performance of your Suzuki outboard by ensuring the fuel supply is free of contaminants. Water separation is particularly important if your boat operates in humid or saltwater environments where condensation in the fuel tank can occur. This filter’s drain fitting allows you to periodically check for and remove any water without having to replace the entire filter. As always, it’s recommended to change the filter annually. Also note that Johnson 4-stroke outboards in the 25–70HP range from the mid-2000s (which were rebadged Suzukis) can also use this filter part.

- Carry a spare: It’s advisable to carry a spare of this filter on board for extended trips, especially if you run a newer Suzuki engine – if a clog from bad fuel occurs, you’ll have the correct part on hand
- Guaranteed spec: The OEM Suzuki filter ensures your engine maintains its factory specs – using an incorrect or aftermarket filter could result in low fuel pressure or leaks, so always opt for the genuine part
