Mercury F200 V6 200HP FourStroke Outboard Engine
The Mercury F200 is the flagship model in the V6 FourStroke lineup, combining 200HP with innovative technology and design that make it lighter and quieter than previous generations. With a 3.4L V6 engine, the Mercury 200 delivers impressive acceleration – for instance, in testing it’s about 8% quicker 0–30 mph than a competing 200HP model. Despite its power, the engine weighs only around 216 kg (20” model), offering flexibility for installation on single as well as twin/triple engine transoms. The Mercury F200 V6 features Advanced Range Optimization (ARO) – a system that automatically adjusts the fuel mixture at cruise for maximum fuel efficiency. This translates to lower fuel burn on long runs. Another plus is the integrated idle vibration reduction system, which virtually eliminates tiller shake at idle. DTS (Digital Throttle & Shift) is available for precise, synchronized control, especially useful on multi-engine boats. The Mercury F200 also supports Active Trim and all SmartCraft features, which make operation and monitoring easier. From a service standpoint, Mercury retains the convenient top cowl door for oil and easy access to filters, reducing downtime.
