This flush-mount module combines two essential power features for your boat: a cigarette lighter socket and a dual USB charger. Constructed in white from tough nylon material, the unit is both stylish and corrosion-resistant, making it ideal for installation on a helm dashboard or in the cabin.
USB section: The two USB ports provide a 5V output with a total capacity of 2 × 2.1A. This means you can charge two high-demand devices simultaneously – for example, a smartphone and a tablet – at fast speed (up to 4.2A combined). The USB outlets are compatible with all standard USB charging cables for phones, GPS units, marine radios, cameras, etc.
Lighter socket section: The standard 12V socket allows you to plug in all sorts of automotive/marine accessories: an air compressor, a 12V fan, a portable cooler, a spotlight, or chargers that use a car plug. The socket is rated for up to 15A at 12V (~180W) or 30A at 24V, covering most portable appliances. The inner diameter and shape are standard (~21 mm), fitting all common accessory plugs.
Versatility (12V/24V): The unit can be connected to either a 12-volt or 24-volt system. It automatically adapts to the input – the USB regulator steps it down to 5V, and the lighter receptacle simply passes through the system voltage. This makes the device suitable for cars/RVs (12V) as well as larger yachts or trucks (24V).
Indication & protection: A blue LED indicator is built into the face, illuminating whenever the module is powered (i.e., when the boat’s battery switch is on). This helps you find the port in the dark and reminds you that it’s live. A protective cap (with rubber seal) covers both the USB ports and the lighter socket opening together. When closed, the unit is shielded from dust and splashes (approximately IP54 rating – protected from water spray).
Installation: The module fits into a round cutout (about 29 mm diameter). A plastic locking nut is provided: insert the unit from the front of the panel and tighten the nut from the back to secure it. Alternatively, some models include a front bezel/bracket for mounting (this one supports rear nut tightening, ensuring a flush appearance). Wiring is straightforward: two input leads (terminals) for positive and negative, which feed both the USB converter and the lighter socket in parallel. When connecting to 24V, ensure that any device you plug into the socket is 24V-compatible!
With this combo outlet, your boat gains a multi-functional charging station: crew and passengers can charge phones, tablets, GoPros, and navigation devices via USB while still having a standard 12V port available for other needs. All of this comes in one compact device engineered for the marine environment.
