The Mercury 350 Verado introduces a completely new V10 engine to the outboard world – the first of its kind. With a 5.7L displacement and 10 cylinders, this 350HP engine delivers exceptionally smooth power and instant response. One of its revolutionary features is a two-speed automatic transmission – at low speeds the engine uses a first gear for maximum acceleration, then around 4500 RPM it shifts to second gear for lower fuel consumption and high top speed. This technology is unique to the V10 Verado and provides up to 20% faster planing than traditional 350HP engines. The Mercury 350 Verado also employs contra-rotating propellers – two props on one engine spinning opposite directions for maximum bite in the water. The result is unrivaled thrust out of the hole and steady steering at high speeds. Despite being a V10, Mercury managed to keep weight around ~317 kg (XL), which is a remarkable achievement for such a large engine – this is close to competitor V8 weights. Noise and vibration are minimal, thanks to the advanced Verado AMS and the inherent balance of the V10 configuration. This engine is offered only with Digital Throttle & Shift and necessarily includes integrated electro-hydraulic steering – it’s intended for high-end yachts and center console boats. The Mercury 350 Verado V10 is for those who want to lead – with its cutting-edge technology, it sets new benchmarks in the 350HP class in terms of acceleration, smoothness, and innovation.
